Today was our last meeting for the summer after which we will not meet again until September 16th.  Since it was our last meeting we all brought in some goodies and had a potluck treat day.  We also discussed positions held by members to help out the group.  Pat M will be taking over writing the newsletters so if there is anything you wish to have included please email Pat.  Jan C will now be our Vice President to help out our wonderful president Janet H.  Helle N  will be the social convener for snacks and came up with a list for us to sign up to do snacks in a certain month.  Due to her excellent planning, we now have snacks covered for the whole year next year!  Great idea Helle.  Marg L and Yvette M will continue their work on Facebook and the Weebly sites respectively.  Marg also will be coordinating the Miniature show and would love to have some help if you are able.  

Early bird membership dues were due today if you wanted to be included in the draw for free membership.  This year's lucky winner of a free membership for next year was Pat M.  Congratulations!!

Today we did a nice simple little Make and Take project of a Tim Hortons cup, Timbit box and a Donut box.  They may make a nice little addition to our kitchen project for next year, who knows!  Here is my completed set:

Our next official meeting will be September 16th when we will begin our Kitchen in a Cupboard project.  Over the summer, spend some time thinking of what type of look you wish your cupboard to have - will it be painted or stained, perhaps a cafe, perhaps not a kitchen but some other wonderful little project?  The possibilities are endless.
