This month our meeting was a week early due to the holiday coming up.  For this meeting we made flowers taught by Marg L.  We were shown how to shade the flowers using children's markers and water.  Although we didn't get our flowers finished at the meeting we were well on our way to being able to with the information that Marg gave us.  Here is an example of the flowers we were making. These were made by Marg and were a wonderful resource for our own creations. Aren't they wonderful!

I am looking forward to completing mine and hope they look half as good as these!

We also brought in some of the goodies we purchased at our Miniature Show. I have posted pictures of them in our Meetings gallery for you to see.  Everyone found wonderful things.

Our next meeting is on June 17th.  Everyone is to bring some edible goodies to share as this will be the last meeting before we break up for the summer.  Hope to see you all there!

Today was our long awaited miniature show in Fergus, Ontario.  It was an amazing day filled with wonderful displays by the members of the OMEGA group and some wonderful vendors.  Our raffle dollhouse was won by our member Phyllis G and all of the proceeds from the raffle went to the Guelph Humane society.  Congratulations Phyllis!

There was also a surprise draw for a room box donated by one of the vendors Ed from Miniatures by Ed and I will post a picture of that along with the winner once I am able to get a picture of it.

Everyone had a wonderful time browsing the items brought in by the vendors and, of course, I spent a bit more than my budget but the items were well worth it.  Although I purchased too many wonderful items to show here, I wanted to show you a picture of a beautiful whimsical cat in a suitcase by Kathi Kuti that I treated myself to.

Tomorrow is our Annual Miniature show in Fergus.  I hope you all attend and bring your list of things you wish to find.  It promises to be a great day and I can't wait.  There will be a beautiful dollhouse there that can be won in a raffle.  Our members are bringing their "Celebrations" cards along with other projects they worked on in the group or on their own.  Stop by and see our projects and say "hello".  We would love to talk to you.
